Why use Sieve page instead of Trello

Art Fight is barely behind us, now it's time for "QUEUE" Fight: Baby Sieve vs. Taco from Trello — who shall prevail in this ultimate fight for work queue supreme?

Some pros and cons of Sieve page include:

Pro: Discoverability 🔍

Want people to feed you by buying a commission or an adopt? Your queue is publicly viewable in read-only! Be sure to customize your page's meta description so Google picks up keywords related to your art brand when it indexes your work queue (see more below). We're also enhancing the explore feed so you can browse what our friendly Sieve artists are working on to collaborate on raffles, host a joint art stream, or even trade art.

Note: Your URL corresponds to sieve.page/username so post this link for others to see your public work queue.

Emotes, banners, overlays, animations — if they're GIFs or static images, they can be showcased in the gallery. In the age of AI, artists are naturally concerned about novel technologies and how they harm their carefully created work. Sieve page hopes to address these concerns in a socially responsible, intellectually honest way in collaboration with the science and tech community (more to come)!

Note: Enhancements to the gallery, including image categorizations, video uploads, and Project Gloss are underway.

Con: Collaboration and others 🥲

Sadly, Sieve page does not yet enable real-time collaboration between artists. It also limits you to one board and one visibility setting. Should you need to manage your work with other artists in your studio or wish to update your queue privately, you'd have to use Trello for now.

Note: We're working on these functionalities! Sieve's current roadmap includes collaborative workspaces, mult-page creation, visibility settings, calendar management, and other widgets.

What our Trello-turned-Sieve dev 無聊 has to say about this Queue Fight:

Sieve tries to be a drawing pen while Trello tries to be a Swiss army knife.

(so wise)!

Our dev putting Baby Sieve and Taco in their places.

Artists may find Sieve page more fun to use as its features are designed with creatives' work needs in mind. Trello's features are broader in scope and may offer more choices for other workflows.

However, we're all friends here. Let's not forget to treat others with kindness and respect, no matter what they do or where they're from. 🩷 If you want to spread Sieve love, we're hosting a monthly challenge and onboarding more artists!

With love,
